MtnLocal Not sure 152 Snowboard Review 2018-2019
TESTER: Knut Carter
BOARD: MtnLocal Not sure 152
OVERALL IMPRESSION FROM 1 TO 7: 5
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: Stiff and fast
WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: Catchy on groomers
OVERALL COMMENTS: Fast and solid board. Quick edge to edge in the trees. It wants to fly when you open up on groomers. It seemed like the edges could catch easily on the groomed runs. Very stiff and not very forgiving. Deep powder would be a lot of fun on this board.
RATE THE SHAPE FROM 1 TO 7: 6
SHAPE COMMENT: FUN TO LOOK AT
ADDITIONAL SHAPE COMMENTS: Great shape for riding deep powder and tight trees. The long wide nose is stiff and holds up on bumps.
RATE THE FLEX FROM 1 TO 7: 5
FLEX COMMENT: JUST RIGHT
ADDITIONAL FLEX COMMENT: Didn’t flex much. That seemed to make it great for deep snow.
RATE STABILITY THROUGH TURNS FROM 1 TO 7: 6
STABILITY COMMENT: PRETTY GOOD
ADDITIONAL STABILITY COMMENTS: Stable as it gets at high speeds. You have to be on it to not catch an edge though.
RATE THE POP/ PLAYFULNESS FROM 1 TO 7: 5
COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS:
ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS: Decent pop. The short length made it playful in trees and powder. The stiffness made it not so playful on groomers. It was still fun and very fast though.
RATE FLOAT IN POW FROM 1 TO 7: RADICAL
COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: EFFORTLESSLY FLOATY
ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: The swallow tail and stiff nose made it stay up in the deep snow. It would be a lot of fun in a big open louder field or deep tree runs
RATE THE GRAPHICS FROM 1 TO 7: 6
GRAPHICS COMMENT: AESTHETIC AND INSPIRING
ADDITIONAL GRAPHICS COMMENTS: I like the wood top sheets. This one is especially nice with the dark and light grains of the natural wood.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SAY: It seemed like this board was built to last. It’s a very hard charging board made to go fast.
