Nitro Fury 157 Snowboard Review 2018-2019

Description

TESTER: Steph Nitsch

BOARD: Nitro Fury 157

OVERALL IMPRESSION FROM  1 TO 7:  5

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: Smooth turns on corduroy

WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: It’s stiff for how smooth it turns, and I found myself losing edge control and gaining a ton of chatter as soon as I encountered any snow that wasn’t soft.

OVERALL COMMENTS: This board is incredibly fluid. Long, lean and smooth turns on either side make for some of the most graceful carves. But it became rigid and abrupt as soon as i took it off trail, even in semi-soft conditions, taking me for a choppy ride.

COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS:

ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS:  On groomers, this thing was popping in and out of turns, from edge to edge, so smoothly. But it felt dead and unresponsive if I wasn’t on pristine groomers.
