SLASH STRAIGHT 163 SNOWBOARD REVIEW 2015

(1 customer review)

Description

TESTER NAME: BEN GAVELDA

OCCUPATION: TRANSWORLD SNOWBOARDING CONTRIBUTER

BOARD: SLASH STRAIGHT 163

RATING: RADICAL

OVERALL: Ripping board that’s right between a surfy pow shape and a big mountain charger. Not too surfy and squirrely, yet the tapered shape floats and turns well. True to it’s name it handles speed and straightlines super well.

SHAPE: Perfect blend between floaty pow shape and directional charger.

FLEX:Nice medium-stiff flex, right on point..

STABILITY: Surprisingly stable for the pointy, tapered shape. Not sure if that edge bump makes it more stable or more jittery.

POP/PLAYFULNESS: Pretty dang good pop…could use a bit more camber extending through the tail.

THE LAST WORD: Maybe a few carbon stringers for more pop? Edge bump in the middle questionable?

Apparently Ben thought it had taper, and he is a very knowledgeable snowboarder. I guess if it did have taper they would have named it something other than the Straight. -RK
