Elevated 5’4″ I think?? 153ish Snowboard Review 2018-2019
Description
TESTER: Mikey Franco
BOARD: Elevated 5’4″ I think?? 153ish
OVERALL IMPRESSION FROM 1 TO 7: 4
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: That it surprised me.
WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: while trying to really lay out tight arcs, the reverse sidecut didn’t let the board hook up under me to help get out of the turn and into the new one. (Ideally not necessarily built for eurocarves)
OVERALL COMMENTS: The shape surprised me. I did not have the chance to rip it in deep pow, which I wish I could have. I am curious as to how that would effect my impression.
RATE THE SHAPE FROM 1 TO 7: 6
SHAPE COMMENT: NOT JUST GOOD BUT GOOD ENOUGH
ADDITIONAL SHAPE COMMENTS: Love the shape, a very versatile board for a place like Jackson. Maybe a bit too wide for my foot while riding hard snow.
RATE THE FLEX FROM 1 TO 7: OK
FLEX COMMENT: JUST RIGHT
ADDITIONAL FLEX COMMENT: Interesting take on shape. I am stoked Aaron is pushing the boundaries of what we know in shaping snowboards.
RATE STABILITY THROUGH TURNS FROM 1 TO 7: OK
STABILITY COMMENT: PRETTY GOOD
ADDITIONAL STABILITY COMMENTS: Felt solid under foot. Not sure how it would handle on ice.
RATE THE POP/ PLAYFULNESS FROM 1 TO 7: OK
COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS:
ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS: Certainly easy to enter turns with the narrower nose, however the consequence is a longer, harder release at the end of the turn.
RATE FLOAT IN POW FROM 1 TO 7:
COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: OK
ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: Unsure
RATE THE GRAPHICS FROM 1 TO 7: OK
GRAPHICS COMMENT: OK
ADDITIONAL GRAPHICS COMMENTS:
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SAY: well done! I was pleasantly surprised.
