BOARD: Elevated Step-Up 5’4″

TEST YEAR:   2019 SHAPERSUMMIT SNOWBOARD REVIEWS

OVERALL IMPRESSION FROM  1 TO 7:  6

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: It’s quickness from edge to edge!

WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: Not enough pop! It felt great until you tried to get it off the snow.

OVERALL COMMENTS: My first run I thought I was going to hate this board, but after some binding adjustments this board began to sing! It is such a rapid turner with that narrow nose! It is just asking to be ridden through some pow filled trees and slashes up on banks like you’re riding a wave.

BOARD STYLE:      POWSURF BOARD

CONDITIONS TESTED IN: HARDPACK    POWDER

RATE THE SHAPE FROM 1 TO 7:  7

SHAPE COMMENT: AT THING OF BEAUTY

ADDITIONAL SHAPE COMMENTS:  Rad approach with the narrow nose and fat tail.

RATE THE FLEX FROM 1 TO 7:   4

FLEX COMMENT:  TOO SOFT

ADDITIONAL FLEX COMMENT:  Just a bit too soft! On harder turns it didn’t give you as much stability under your dominant foot.

RATE STABILITY THROUGH TURNS FROM 1 TO 7:  6

STABILITY COMMENT: PRETTY GOOD

ADDITIONAL STABILITY COMMENTS: Feels stable and you never lose the ability to find a edge when you need it!

RATE THE POP/ PLAYFULNESS FROM 1 TO 7:  1

COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS: LIKE RIDING A 2 X 4

ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS:  This thing feels a bit like a ball and chain when you decide to try to get some airtime.

RATE FLOAT IN POW FROM 1 TO 7:  6

COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: EASY TO STAY UP

ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: The narrow but long nose stays on top!
