Gentemstick Big Fish Around 165? Snowboard Review 2018-2019

Description

TESTER: Eric Odlin

BOARD: Gentemstick Big Fish Around 165?

OVERALL IMPRESSION FROM  1 TO 7:  5

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: Theres something to be said about the energy these Gentemsticks carry. 25 years of shaping passion is evident in the craftsmanship and the ride.

WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: A little chatter on the now at speed, but that was on a groomer so I didn’t really care. Its probably because I maxed out the inserts and my binding spread to get a 24″ stance, so my front foot seemed in front of the sweet spot. I probs need a Bigger Fish 10 cm larger because Im a large human.

OVERALL COMMENTS: This board (and all the Gentems) are shreddable works of art. Theres something to be said about the energy these Gentemsticks carry. 25 years of shaping passion and thousands of years of Japanese precision is evident in the craftsmanship and the ride.

RATE FLOAT IN POW FROM 1 TO 7:    RADICAL

COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: EFFORTLESSLY FLOATY

ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: Deep pow. This board wants to float.

RATE THE GRAPHICS FROM 1 TO 7:  RADICAL

GRAPHICS COMMENT: AESTHETIC AND INSPIRING

ADDITIONAL GRAPHICS COMMENTS: Beautiful wood topsheet with cool sublimated graphic of what appears to be a shape frequencies make in water.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SAY: The Big Fish is both a boutique swallowtail for the deepest days, or it could be a daily driver if your style supports that. Im a drummer and play older Japanese drums . Theses are elegant Japanese shred instruments.
