Description
TESTER: Eric Odlin
BOARD: Gnu S.P.A.M. 157
OVERALL IMPRESSION FROM 1 TO 7: 5
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: Shape, look, and Blake Paul rides it.
WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: If it was a 162 or 3 I’d be all over this.
OVERALL COMMENTS: A fun, feel good ride. Camber gives it a solid feel and great pop. Powwy shape lets it “do pow good”. A rippers ride for sure.
RATE THE SHAPE FROM 1 TO 7: RADICAL
SHAPE COMMENT: FUN TO LOOK AT
ADDITIONAL SHAPE COMMENTS: I love the big nose short tail throwback pow board thing, and this boards got that going on, Mervin style.
RATE THE FLEX FROM 1 TO 7: 6
FLEX COMMENT: JUST RIGHT
ADDITIONAL FLEX COMMENT: Literally, just right. A 157 is small for me, but this was there for me in every shreddable moment I encountered. Solid. Ride.
RATE STABILITY THROUGH TURNS FROM 1 TO 7:
STABILITY COMMENT: PRETTY GOOD
ADDITIONAL STABILITY COMMENTS: Again, kept me rolling despite being much smaller than I would normally ride (162ish)
RATE THE POP/ PLAYFULNESS FROM 1 TO 7: 5
COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS:
ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS: Snappy and fun. Camber + Mervin boards = Pop like you remember pop to be.
RATE FLOAT IN POW FROM 1 TO 7: RADICAL
COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: EASY TO STAY UP
ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: Slashing felt good.
RATE THE GRAPHICS FROM 1 TO 7: OK
GRAPHICS COMMENT: OK
ADDITIONAL GRAPHICS COMMENTS: Retro GNU throwback graphix. They O.K. I do like pink though….
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SAY: I like it. I’d like to see a larger version but this 157 is hard to out-rip!!
