OVERALL IMPRESSION FROM  1 TO 7:  6

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: Feels smaller and more playful then the name implies.

WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: Felt too wide for me this time around.

OVERALL COMMENTS: I’ve been in this deck several times over several years, demoing it in every condition! On groomers and in the superpipe at Copper, I was impressed by its lightness and carve. In the JH backcountry it was the funnest board I’d ever ridden! Now, doing top to bottom JH Tram laps, it still does all things quite well. Playful and powerful, great float and next level stability. My only complaint this time around was it felt a bit tough edge to edge. I know it a “Gun” and is for the biggest days, but it was a lot of work mid a lower mount when the snow got heavier and variable. Still want one in the quiver, but it won’t be my daily driver as I once thought.

ADDITIONAL SHAPE COMMENTS:  Very tapered and directional looking, but can still go switch when needed.

ADDITIONAL FLEX COMMENT:  Feels good under foot, stiff enough but moves with you.

ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS:  For a Big Gun, it plays like your park board. The 169 feels like a 159!

ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: Good setback and 19mm of taper does the trick.
