Description
TESTER: Eric Odlin
BOARD: Ride Mtn Pig 162
OVERALL IMPRESSION FROM 1 TO 7: 4
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: Shape is cool. And I like Ride’s approach to side cut and enjoyed playing with the subtle finesse you could apply to sidecut and turning.
WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: I could hold and track at speed like I’d hoped I could. Coulda been me?
OVERALL COMMENTS: I though I would love it, but in the end I only liked it. Not sure why. It performed great, but left me underwhelmed.
RATE THE SHAPE FROM 1 TO 7: 6
SHAPE COMMENT: FUN TO LOOK AT
ADDITIONAL SHAPE COMMENTS: Looks twin-ish but with some squared fun on the nose and a wally like cut on the tail. Gave me all mountain vibes.
RATE THE FLEX FROM 1 TO 7: 5
FLEX COMMENT: JUST RIGHT
ADDITIONAL FLEX COMMENT: Stout and solid. Right where in needed to be to be aggressive.
RATE STABILITY THROUGH TURNS FROM 1 TO 7: OK
STABILITY COMMENT: PRETTY GOOD
ADDITIONAL STABILITY COMMENTS: I never washed out. Rode a hair smaller than I’d like for a 162 early rise.
RATE THE POP/ PLAYFULNESS FROM 1 TO 7: 5
COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS:
ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON PLAYFULNESS: Had good feel for the terrain. Medium damp and poppy.
RATE FLOAT IN POW FROM 1 TO 7: RADICAL
COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: OK
ADDITIONAL COMMENT ON FLOAT IN POW: Ripped like a “regular” deck, but Fairly traditional feel, with a more nose up and tail down thanks to its nice shape accents join the nose/tail
RATE THE GRAPHICS FROM 1 TO 7:
GRAPHICS COMMENT: OK
ADDITIONAL GRAPHICS COMMENTS: Clean yet DIY looking. Simple, in a good way.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SAY: A good ride. Although it did blow my mind I know a lot of riders would love this. I really like playing wot side cut while carving and Ride boards are some of the most unique turn feels out there.
