TESTER: Ian Haney

BOARD: Weston Backwoods Carbon 163 Prototype

OVERALL IMPRESSION FROM  1 TO 7:  3

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: Pop

WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BOARD?: The anti damp carbon and sidecut

OVERALL COMMENTS: Too stiff and twitchy. Sidecut hooks in at the nose and is hard to hold a line. The Carbon struggles to hold an edge on anything rough. Steep rough spots on groomers were chattery. Needs smooth consistent snow (Editors Note: This prototype board has been improved based on this review for production.)
